The Conchal Group was born out of 17 years' experience leading teams, guiding leaders, and shaping HR strategy and operations.
Over the years, I found that many traditional leadership and HR practices didn’t fully resonate with my values. The prevailing belief that you have to choose between kindness and success, or honesty and humanity, never sat right with me.
So I chose to lead differently.
What followed was a body of work grounded in authenticity, care, and real results — and it’s that foundation that Conchal is built on today.
The name “Conchal” is inspired by one of my favorite places in the world, Playa Conchal, a beach in Costa Rica where the sand is made of tiny shells — a place that brings me back to what matters most. It’s where I return to remember that our work in this world can feel grounded, expansive, and free. That's what I want for myself, and what I'm here to help others find, too.
At The Conchal Group, we believe leadership is personal.
Best practices are powerful, but only when aligned with your values and personal ethos. That's where real performance begins. That's where the successes you dream of start to take root in a sustainable way.
But best practices applied without alignment? They become rigid frameworks that disconnect you from yourself and leave you fragmented in your work.
We believe that the best leadership starts with integrity — with knowing and trusting yourself, and showing up in a way that feels honest, grounded, and clear.
Our leadership coaching methodology draws from a rich synthesis of theories on emotional intelligence, situational leadership theories such as Hersey-Blanchard and Path-Goal theory, transformational leadership theory, and Kristin Neff’s work on self-compassion, grounding our approach in evidence-based research.
That’s why everything we do is built around internal resourcing and healthy functioning.
Because the research shows that when leaders are anchored from within, they build teams that are more accountable, more aligned, and more human.
We reject the outdated belief that results-driven leadership requires sacrificing your identity or your empathy; or that it requires causing psychological harm. In fact, our experience shows that when leaders honor their identity and empathy, performance and engagement thrive.
We follow the principles outlined in the core competencies of the International Coaching Federation. In our human resources consulting practice, we are certified in all the competencies outlined in the SHRM Body of Applied Skills and Knowledge at a Senior Professional Level.
We don’t just teach leadership theory.
We help people unlearn what’s been holding them back, and rebuild a way of leading that actually feels good and delivers results that last.
This is whole-hearted leadership that grows from within.
And we’re here to walk it with you.
